World Rhino Day

World Rhino Day is celebrated on September 22 to preserve the rhino species from the threat of poaching and the possibility of natural extinction. In India, the one-horned rhino is increasing in numbers due to the conservation initiatives taken by the government. Throughout the world, Wildlife groups, NGOs and concerned people mark this day as these species are still considered susceptible.
