World Radio Day

Did you know that the radio was invented by the Italian physicist and inventor Guglielmo Marconi, in 1895? World Radio Day is celebrated annually across the globe on 13 February, to acknowledge the important role the radio plays as a medium of communication. This year’s theme, ‘Radio and Peace’, has been created to focus on the importance of radio in fostering peace and preventing conflict.
