Dr Ravinder Kancherla, the founder of the Global Hospitals Group, has pledged over 350 crores, which is about 70% of his wealth, to building a not-for-profit medical education, research and innovation institute in Hyderabad. The institute would help provide a new model for sustainable development of medical infrastructure and has been declared a first-of-its-kind project in India.
