Thirteen college students from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, volunteered to distribute food to the destitute, in 2020. Even after the end of the pandemic period, they didn’t stop their work. They started an NGO named, ‘Suvadugal’(Traces), and are now a group of 70 members. ‘Suvadugal’ has provided healthy food to over 100 elderly and destitute people per day, for the past three years. Apart from food distribution, they also organise social awareness campaigns among school children and clean public spaces.
