Ramgarh: A Haven for Fish Farming

The residents of Ramgarh District, Jharkhand, have been creating opportunities for themselves by introducing fish farming in the coal mines of the Central Coal Fields Limited (CCL), which had been abandoned, for the past 10-12 years. Madhvi Mishra, the Deputy Commissioner of Ramgarh, said that the initiative created a new source of livelihood for the residents of Ramgarh as there were no alternate sources of income, especially for women, in the coal mine areas.
