Inspired by her mother’s small tiffin venture, Geeta Patil started her business, Patil Kaki, to support her family in 2016. She made and sold authentic Maharashtrian dishes such as modak, puran poli, chakli, poha, and chivda, across Mumbai and Pune, with minimal investment. Now with the help of her son Vinit Patil, her business earns revenue of over one crore annually and over 3,000 orders are shipped every month. It is also to be noted that 70 percent of Patil Kaki’s employees are women who are working for the first time.
