Every year, World Milk Day is celebrated globally on June 1. The day is marked to acknowledge the significance of milk as global food and to honour the dairy industry. The day was adopted by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations in 2001. Currently, India is the world’s largest producer of milk, followed by the United States, Pakistan, and China.
