Although K. Govindan hails from the Mullur Kurma community of Wayanad, who hunted animals for food, he turned into a vegetarian a few years ago. The 72-year-old decided to put his archery skills to better use. He now teaches ancient archery techniques to the younger generation in an attempt to preserve this age-old skill. People from all over the world come to watch and learn from him.
