Every year, Republic Day is celebrated in India on January 26. In 2022, India is celebrating its 73rd Republic Day. The Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January,1950, and the country became a sovereign state, and was declared a republic. The main event of the Republic Day celebrations is the annual parade which begins at Rajpath, Delhi, goes through India Gate and concludes at Red Fort .
