35-year-old Asha Kaithwas, the sarpanch of Jhiri panchayat in Burhanpur district, Madhya Pradesh, mortgaged her jewellery for installing night vision CCTV cameras, in her Jhajhar village, which forms a part of the Jhiri gram panchayat. The need for CCTV cameras became a concern after the abduction of a tribal boy, from Jhajhar. Though the boy was found two days later, Kaithwas decided to work on installing CCTV cameras to ensure safety in the nearby villages.
