Research team, led by Professor M. Manivannan, from IIT- Madras, Tamil Nadu, have developed a new touchscreen technology, named ‘iTad’ (Interactive Touch Active Display), to make users feel the textures of objects on display. Manivannan said that iTad can take online shopping experience to the next level, as users can touch and feel things before purchasing them on various e-commerce platforms.
