Bringing Museums to Doorstep

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya Museum in Mumbai, started an initiative named, ‘Museum on Wheels’, in 2015, to areas to bring museums to the doorsteps of children, for free. As a part of this initiative, buses filled with interactive and educational displays, travel to rural areas, to give the experience of museums to children. Currently, Museum on Wheels has two buses and has travelled to more than 700 cities and villages across the country.
