Tribute to Missile Man

India paid tribute to former President, Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen (A.P.J) Abdul Kalam, on his seventh death anniversary, on 27 July, 2022. Popularly known as the ‘People’s President’ and ‘Missile Man’, Kalam was an aerospace scientist who served as the nation’s 11th President, from 2002 to 2007. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, in 1997. Kalam died due to cardiac arrest on 27 July, 2015, while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management, Shillong.
