Drones to the rescue

Aster MIMS Hospital in Kozhikode, Kerala, has become the first hospital in the state to introduce the use of drones for the delivery of essential items, especially blood samples and medicines, to hospitals. Farhan Yasin, the regional director of Aster Kerala, said that the firm is planning to employ drones for transporting organs in the future and also to collaborate with residents’ associations and apartment complexes to allot some space in their area for landing drones.
