Entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla, Inc, Elon Musk, acquired the deal to buy Twitter, the social media network, for approximately 44 billion dollars, with shares valued at 54.20 dollars. This acquisition is considered as one of the biggest deals in the world of technology. In his press statement, Musk said that he wants to make the social media network better by enhancing it with new features, defeating the spam bots and making the algorithms open source to increase trust.
