Every year, Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated in India, on April 14. The day is marked to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Law and Justice Minister of India, Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. Born in 1891, Ambedkar is known as the father of the Indian Constitution. It was under his leadership that the world’s longest written constitution was drafted by the constituent assembly.
