National Vaccination Day is observed every year in India, on March 16. The day is marked to raise awareness about vaccination and its importance. The day also holds more significance as the nation has recently completed COVID-19 vaccination for over 180 crore people. The day is also observed to mark the anniversary of the first dose of the Oral Polio vaccine given in India, in 1995.
