17-year-olds Sarah Varghese and Devika Girish, from St. Peter’s Senior Secondary School, Kadayiruppu, Kerala, have been selected to represent India at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) to be held in Atlanta, United States (US). The class XII students prepared a highly porous polymer membrane with exceptional oil absorption properties with the help of Dr Prasanth Raghavan and his team from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). Their project was selected among the final 20 projects in the Research and Innovation (IRIS) National Science Fair, 2022.
