33-year-old Jyoti Nainwal, from Dehradun, graduated as an officer from the Officers Training Academy. She is the widow of Naik Deepak Nainwal, who was martyred during a terrorist encounter in Kulgam District, Jammu and Kashmir. Jyoti, after the death of her husband in 2018, was motivated by her mother to join the army and is determined to provide the best possible lives for her two children.
