The Muthuvan tribes of Muthuvakudi village, in Theni district, Tamil Nadu, have managed well with the pandemic, strictly following the isolation measures and sticking to their traditional diet. As a result, not even one person in the village, which comprises 35 families, has so far contracted Covid 19. Muthuvakudi is in a reserved forest. The villagers spent most of their time inside their homes during the lockdown period.
