The titles are as follows:
1) Tirupati
A talking anthill, an arrogant sage, an irate cowherd, and even the asura king Ravana, each have their parts to play in these stories that describe the founding of the Venkateshwara temple at Tirupati. Set amongst the lovely Tirumala hills, this temple to Lord Vishnu, is one of the most beautiful temples in the world. It is said that more than 50,000 people visit this shrine every day, to pray to Venkateshwara to wash away their sins.
2) Tales of Indra
Armed with the invincible thunderbolt, Vajra and mounted on his great white elephant, Airavata, Indra - king of the gods - is the subject of innumerable stories in Indian Mythology. This Amar Chitra Katha tells some of the tales that depict Indra's bravery, his generosity, and also, his occasional arrogance.
3) Heroes of Hampi
When the two warrior brothers, Hakka and Bukka, go hunting with their hounds on the banks of the river Pampa, or Tungabhadra, they do not expect the rabbit they are chasing to turn around and fight! Still less do they expect to find themselves spending the rest of the day, hearing stories about the land they are standing on. Stories about the gods and humans who inhabited it. Of the river Pampa who yearned to marry Shiva. Of Vali, the insecure king of Kishkindha, and of Rama who was unable to give his faithful lieutenant, Hanuman, the one thing he desired.
4) Surjya Sen
On the night of April 18th, 1930, a school teacher named Surjya Sen, his five friends and an army of young boys went into battle in Chittagong, ready to die. Their plan was to challenge the British by taking over their armouries. Surjya Sen's group was only a small handful against the might of the British Empire, but their extraordinary gesture of courage and defiance inspired other freedom fighters, long after they were gone.
